
- Rowan Pattison is a freelance guitarist based in Melbourne, Australian. He has performed around the world — including in London, Tokyo, and Paris — and has toured extensively throughout China and other parts of Asia.
Rowan has worked for pop singer Cody Simpson, Broadway leads such as Nic Rouleau, Diana Huey, Chuck Wagner, and Brad Little, and has served as touring guitarist for artists such The Voice finalist Cassidy Mackie, Shannen James, Jaron Jay, and numerous other Australian and British pop acts including winner of Britain's got talent Richard Hadfield, Fleur De Mur and many other TV personalities. Rowan has done supports for Rob Thomas, The Brand New Heavies, Lawrence the Band, Ian Moss, Slowly Slowly, Thelma Plum, Mental as Anything, Sycco and many more.
Rowan is also a founding member of the Jazzlab Orchestra and recently released his self-titled album which was launched at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, Shanghai, followed by an extensive Asia tour.
Since 2023, Rowan has been playing for the The Darryn Farrugia Farrugia Project, Darryn is known for his television work and collaborations with Paul Grabowsky and The Cat Empire.
Rowan has also done many other shows internationally as a jazz artist across Europe and Asia, including European tour "Impressionism of Bill Evans" and recent concerts in Saigon with master Clarinetist Danny Healy.
Most recently, Rowan played guitar on the Australian tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, supporting celebrated Australian artists Michael Paynter (Icehouse, Jimmy Barnes) Mahalia Barnes (Joe Bonamassa) and Comedian Reuben Kaye. Rowan is currently playing guitar for MJ The Musical in Australia.
In addition to his live work, Rowan has contributed extensively as a session musician for studio albums and touring bands. His recent credits include ABC Jazz, Ruva Ngywenya, Brad Keeghan, KALI, Elliot Lamb, PJ Lane,
His upcoming tour with the Pattison/Pavlidis Quartet will start at Blue Note Beijing, in March 2026.
He is endorsed by Japanese guitar company Saito and is the ambassador for their "Beyond" model, holding clinics and promotional events internationally.
